Bramcote Lorne hosts sports tour from Devon prep school.

16 February 07

We have enjoyed the company of St John’s School, Devon this week. They arrived on Tuesday evening and enjoyed a meal with the boarders before settling down to unpack and become acquainted with our site. Our boarders were wonderful hosts and friendships were quickly established.
On Wednesday, after a hearty breakfast, our visitors spent some time in class before heading to the sports fields to prepare for the afternoon’s fixtures. The games in the afternoon were both highly entertaining affairs with the honours eventually coming out even. Our girls were victorious in the netball and St John’s out-scored our boys in the football.
Wednesday evening provided time for more activities together before an early night prior to St John’s return trip to Devon.

The St John’s children and staff were extremely complimentary of the way we had hosted their brief tour and as they waved goodbye on Thursday we could certainly reflect upon a job well done.

Many thanks to all the Bramcote Lorne staff and pupils who contributed to the success of the visit.

(It took St John’s seven hours to get home!)
