June 2008 Year 8 Outdoor Activities

Year 8 enjoyed two days out of school this week. They spent Monday hiking in the Peak District. The walk started at Grindleford and went up Padley Gorge and onto the moors near Hathersage. After lunch we went across the Longshore Estate and then made our way back to the bus in Grindleford.
Tuesday saw the group travel to Buxton to take part in the World Challenge programme. Everyone experienced the high ropes courses, 25 metre climbing wall, the leap of faith and took part in different team challenges.
