Bramcote Lorne offers full, weekly and flexi boarding programmes for girls and boys from the age of seven upwards.
Boarding at Bramcote Lorne is very popular and enhances the sense of community within the School. We believe that boarding is about making the most of your time at school, developing independence and making friends for life.
“The School prides itself on creating a family atmosphere where the children are happy and safe.”
Bramcote Lorne offers full, weekly and flexi boarding programmes for girls and boys from the age of seven upwards. Many children seek experience of boarding at the School and this serves as a wonderful preparation for the opportunities which many of their future senior schools will present.
Our Housemaster and his wife lead a strong team of resident staff and provide a dedicated, caring and nurturing environment for the boarders. Two school nurses and two boarding assistants work alongside our boarding housekeeper.
At the weekends our boarders have the opportunity to relax a little and go out on trips. Saturdays are often times for a bit of a lie-in and a rest before becoming involved in the activities arranged by the House parents and duty staff. Sundays are days when trips are organised to out-of-school sites and activities … we tend to think of them as “family days out”!
Parents are able to contact the House staff at any time of the day or night and the children have access to telephones and email located within the boarding house. Parents and children certainly need never feel cut off from one another and the School works closely with those parents who live abroad, to ensure all travel arrangements run as smoothly as possible.
“The highlight of boarding at Bramcote Lorne is that the children clearly enjoy themselves in a home-from-home atmosphere, where there is a balance of work, rest and play.”
