Learning Support

Bramcote Lorne School Learning Support Department is an integral part of the school

Bramcote Lorne School Learning Support Department is an integral part of the school which offers extra support to those pupils who are experiencing difficulty with some aspect of their learning.

The level of support is tailored to the needs of the child and usually takes the form of individual, group or in-class support.

Some children simply need a helping hand for a few months, whilst others continue to receive assistance throughout their time at Bramcote Lorne.

Learning support aims to ensure that each pupil is able to achieve academically and develop self esteem, making them happy, confident and successful.

Parents are consulted on their child’s individual programme of learning and are kept regularly informed of their progress by means of reports, parents’ evenings and informal meetings.

Children with additional / individual needs

Teachers and Practitioners plan for each child’s individual learning requirements, including those children who need additional support or have particular needs or disabilities. Our focus is to remove barriers for children where these already exist and attempt to prevent learning difficulties from developing.

We work in partnership with parents and other agencies to provide the best learning opportunities for individual children.
